Hongqi is a premium automotive brand directly operated by China FAW Group Corporation. Hongqi vehicles are categorized into four series: officially designated as the L Series (New Noble Hongqi Supreme Cars), S Series (New Noble Hongqi Coupes), H Series (New Noble Hongqi Mainstream Cars), and Q Series (New Noble Hongqi Business Travel Cars). The L Series is positioned at the high-end segment. Taking the Hongqi L5 as an example, it is currently the only E-class sedan among Chinese automotive brands and has frequently served as the top-tier state guest vehicle at major international conferences. The H Series follows a more approachable route. This series is further divided into the H branch and HS branch, the former being sedans and the latter SUVs. Currently, the two best-selling Hongqi models both belong to the H Series: the Hongqi H5, a B-class premium luxury sedan, and the Hongqi HS5, a luxury B-class SUV. The S Series currently features one all-electric concept sports car, the Hongqi S9. The Q Series targets the business sector, focusing on MPV models. Hongqi's brand development history: On January 8, 2018, China FAW announced the new Hongqi brand strategy, adopting "Chinese New Noble Delicacy" as its brand philosophy. On July 31, 2018, the Hongqi brand's 60th-anniversary celebration officially commenced. On October 23, 2018, Hongqi became the diamond partner of the 5th World Internet Conference. On January 29, 2019, FAW Hongqi formally established a strategic cooperation with the Palace Museum. On July 12, 2019, the first Hongqi Carnival was successfully held. In December 2019, Hongqi was selected as one of the 2019 China Brand Power Ceremony Role Model 100 Brands.
