What is the gasoline pressure?

Automobile gasoline pressure normally ranges between 300 to 350 kPa. Classification of gasoline systems: There are two types of automobile fuel systems: the full return system and the partial return system. The difference between them is that the full return system has a return fuel line on the fuel rail. Source of gasoline: Gasoline is a volatile and flammable hydrocarbon mixture liquid derived from the distillation and cracking of petroleum, used as fuel. It appears as a transparent liquid, is flammable, and has a distillation range of 30 to 220 degrees. Its main components are C5 to C12 aliphatic and naphthenic hydrocarbons, along with a certain amount of aromatic hydrocarbons. Idle working pressure: The reading on the fuel pressure gauge when the engine is idling is the idle working pressure of the fuel supply system, generally 0.25 MPa or as specified by the vehicle's technical requirements. When testing the idle working pressure, the fuel pressure should rise to 0.3 MPa upon removing the vacuum tube from the fuel pressure regulator; otherwise, the fuel pressure regulator should be replaced.
I've driven quite a few cars, and fuel pressure is absolutely crucial, usually between 50 to 60 psi, especially noticeable during long-distance trips or high-speed driving. If it's too low, the car shakes like it's got the chills, fuel consumption skyrockets, and it's prone to stalling on hills; if it's too high, the dashboard warning light pops up immediately. Once when I was on a trip, the pressure dropped to 40 psi, and after a long inspection, it turned out the fuel filter was clogged—replacing it made everything smooth again. During routine maintenance, it's a good idea to casually check the condition of the fuel pump and injectors, don't wait until big trouble hits. Nowadays, cars mostly use electronic fuel injection systems, and unstable pressure can also affect acceleration response and exhaust emissions. Overall, maintaining the normal 50-60 psi pressure saves fuel and keeps things safe.
