The function of the oil pressure relief valve is to prevent the oil pump pressure from exceeding the specified limit. At high speeds, the oil pump's delivery volume increases significantly, leading to notably higher oil pressure. Additionally, during cold engine starts, the oil's high viscosity and poor fluidity cause a substantial rise in oil pressure. Typically, the relief valve is installed on the oil pump or the main oil gallery of the engine block. When the oil pressure reaches the predetermined value, the relief valve opens, allowing excess oil to return to the oil pump inlet or directly flow back to the oil pan. Function of the oil pump: The oil pump pressurizes and delivers oil from the oil pan to various oil passages (for cooling purposes) and the oil filter (to clean the oil), while also lubricating the cylinders, ensuring smooth and normal engine operation. Fuel pump: The fuel pump is a critical component of the vehicle's fuel supply system. If it fails during operation, the vehicle will be unable to move. Poor performance can result in hesitation during acceleration. Failures often occur without warning, making the vehicle difficult to start and inconvenient to address. Therefore, timely detection, diagnosis, and resolution of such issues are crucial.
