What is the function of power steering fluid?

Power steering fluid primarily serves to transmit the steering force of the steering gear and can alleviate pressure during steering. Location of power steering fluid: The power steering fluid in a car is generally located on the left side of the engine compartment, near the oil dipstick. The cap of the power steering fluid reservoir will have a steering wheel symbol. Finding this cap will help locate the exact position of the power steering fluid. Upon opening the cap of the power steering fluid reservoir, you will notice a rod indicating the fluid level, with maximum and minimum level marks on it. Precautions for replacing power steering fluid: When turning the steering wheel, avoid turning it all the way to one side and holding it there. Instead, turn the steering wheel back and forth. Otherwise, the oil pressure may increase, preventing the power steering fluid from flowing out through the oil extractor's tube and causing it to spray out.
