The function of car EPS is: to provide steering assistance directly through an electric power assist mechanism, eliminating the need for power steering oil pumps, hoses, hydraulic oil, drive belts, and pulleys mounted on the engine, thereby saving energy and protecting the environment. The characteristics of car EPS are: 1. Compact structure, easy installation; 2. Energy-saving and environmentally friendly; 3. High efficiency; 4. Good road feel; 5. Excellent returnability; 6. High reliability, maintenance-free; 7. Strong adaptability. The main components of EPS consist of a steering sensor device, vehicle speed sensor, power assist mechanical device, steering assist motor, and microcomputer control unit.

The EPS, or Electric Power Steering system, is incredibly practical for us car owners! After installing EPS in my car, the steering wheel feels much lighter, especially when making turns or parking in the city—no need to exert much effort. It also automatically adjusts the power assistance based on the vehicle speed; at high speeds, the steering wheel becomes heavier, reducing the risk of wobbling and improving safety and handling. Additionally, EPS is far more fuel-efficient than hydraulic power steering because it doesn’t require the engine to drive a hydraulic pump, saving fuel and helping me spend less on gas in the long run. What’s even better is that EPS integrates an electronic control unit, allowing it to work seamlessly with other car systems like parking assist or adaptive cruise control, making driving smoother and more reassuring. I think every driver should give it a try.

What are the reasons for the failure to start the parking diesel heater?

The reasons why the diesel parking heater cannot start: the heater has overheated, the carbon deposits in the diesel heater combustion chamber are severe, the fuel quality used by the vehicle is poor, and there is a problem with the ventilation system. The parking diesel heater is a type of heater that uses diesel for combustion to generate heat and can be used when the vehicle is parked and the engine is off. Solutions for the failure to start the diesel parking heater: If the heater has overheated, the radiator and defroster are not working properly. The radiator and defroster should be checked and dealt with promptly. If there are severe carbon deposits in the diesel heater combustion chamber, take the vehicle to a 4S shop or repair shop to clean the diesel heater and remove the carbon deposits. If the fuel quality used by the vehicle is poor, it will cause the diesel heater to emit white smoke and fail to start. Replace the fuel promptly, preferably by refueling at a regular gas station. If there is a problem with the ventilation system, causing poor ventilation, enlarging the vents of the ventilation system can solve the problem. The exhaust pipe of the diesel heater should not be placed in the cabin and should be kept as far away from the interior as possible. The direction of the exhaust pipe is best towards the rear of the vehicle to avoid headwinds, preventing the toxic gases discharged from the exhaust pipe from blowing into the cabin.

How to Deal with Car Exhaust?

Methods for treating car exhaust: 1. Use a water tank to wash and filter harmful molecules in car exhaust, converting them into harmless substances; 2. Water washing: The water washing method involves using catalysts to convert CO into CO2, and HC into CO2 and H2O, etc. Commonly used catalysts include metal oxides such as manganese oxide, copper oxide, chromium oxide, nickel oxide, and precious metals like platinum. A large amount of car exhaust is not harmless. During the combustion of gasoline, pollutants such as nitrogen oxides are released, which directly contribute to global warming. Hydrocarbons can form highly toxic photochemical smog, which is harmful to human health and can produce carcinogenic substances. The white smoke generated can damage livestock, fruits, rubber products, and buildings.

Why did the car headlights suddenly stop working?

Reasons why car headlights suddenly stop working: bulb burnout, overheating wires, damaged relay or combination switch, open or short circuit in wiring, blown fuse, poor contact in the circuit. Solutions include: 1. Check if the headlight plug is loose; 2. Inspect the fuse and relay for poor contact; 3. Examine the headlight switch for poor contact. Car headlights, also known as car front lights or car LED daytime running lights, serve as the "eyes" of the car. Their use and maintenance should not be overlooked, as they not only affect the external image of the car owner but are also closely related to safe driving at night or in bad weather conditions.

What Causes Gear Shift Jerkiness in Cars?

Car gear shift jerkiness can be attributed to the following reasons: Internal transmission clutch pressure leakage: Check for clutch damage and perform necessary repairs. Transmission oil circuit blockage or poor flow: Worn oil circuit plate, long overdue transmission oil change leading to deterioration and reduced lubrication, excessively dirty transmission filter affecting filtration efficiency, allowing wear particles to enter the valve body. Incorrect transmission oil level: Verify whether the transmission oil is at the standard level. Both insufficient and excessive transmission oil can cause this issue. For vehicles with a transmission dipstick, check if the oil level is within the standard range when the engine is running.
