Functions of car engine oil: 1. Lubrication to reduce wear - high-quality engine oil can form a sufficiently thick oil film between the sliding surfaces of the main shaft and bearing shells, separating the relatively sliding parts to achieve the purpose of reducing wear; 2. Cooling - engine oil can bring heat back to the oil tank and then dissipate it into the air to help the radiator cool the engine; 3. Cleaning - good engine oil can circulate carbon deposits, sludge, and worn metal particles from engine parts back to the oil tank, flushing away dirt generated on the working surfaces of parts through the flow of lubricating oil; 4. Shock absorption - when the pressure at the engine cylinder port rises sharply, increasing the load on pistons, piston rings, connecting rods, and crankshaft bearings, this load is transmitted through bearing lubrication to cushion the impact load.
