Roll cages are most widely used in racing cars and are a mandatory piece of equipment in official racing competitions. They serve two main purposes: protecting the driver's safety and enhancing the car body's strength and resistance to torsion. Protecting the Driver's Safety: Due to their reasonable geometric structure design, proper welding points, and qualified materials, roll cages maximize their sturdiness, ensuring the driver remains unharmed in the event of severe accidents such as rollovers. Enhancing Car Body Strength and Resistance to Torsion: In racing competitions, the car body is often stripped and fully welded to ensure its strength. The roll cage is typically welded to the car body, effectively absorbing impacts from the ground and preventing the frame from deforming. Roll cages are not suitable for family cars. However, many car modification enthusiasts install roll cages in their vehicles to achieve a cooler, more race-car-like appearance. Although they may look similar, the actual performance differs significantly. Professional manufacturing must consider welding points, angles, and materials, whereas most roll cages made by non-professionals fail to meet quality standards. In the event of an accident, these substandard roll cages can easily break, causing additional harm to the occupants.
