The function of a one-way clutch is to allow a component to rotate only in a specific direction while locking it in the opposite direction. A one-way deep groove ball bearing can also be referred to as a one-way clutch, meaning it transmits power in only one direction. When the power source drives the driven component, transmission occurs in a single direction. If the power source changes direction, the transmission to the driven component will stop. The clutch is located within the flywheel housing between the engine and the transmission. The clutch assembly is secured to the rear plane of the flywheel with screws, and the output shaft of the clutch serves as the input shaft of the transmission. During vehicle operation, the driver can press or release the clutch pedal as needed to temporarily disconnect or gradually engage the engine and transmission, thereby interrupting or transmitting the engine's power to the transmission.
