The currently available Touran L comes in 6 models, all with a fuel tank capacity of 60 liters. The vehicle is equipped with a 1.4-liter turbocharged engine and a 7-speed dry dual-clutch transmission (DCT) across all variants, with a front-engine, front-wheel-drive configuration. In the same vehicle class, the Buick GL6 2021 model has a fuel tank capacity of 45 liters, the Refine M5 2021 model has a 70-liter tank, and the Aphy 2020 model has a 65-liter tank. During actual refueling, the amount of fuel filled may exceed the nominal capacity. This is because the fuel tank capacity specified by the manufacturer is measured from the bottom of the tank to the safe fill level, with additional space from the safe fill level to the tank opening. This extra space allows for fuel expansion due to temperature increases without causing overflow. If fuel is filled up to the tank opening during refueling, the actual amount may exceed the nominal capacity. To check the remaining fuel level, drivers can observe the fuel gauge on the right side of the instrument panel, marked with E (Empty) and F (Full). When the needle is near E, it indicates low fuel, while proximity to F means the tank is sufficiently full.

As a long-term owner of the Touran L, based on my daily driving experience, this car has a fuel tank capacity of 60 liters. For regular city commuting, a full tank can easily cover around 650 kilometers. Given my weekly driving distance of 300 kilometers, refueling once every two weeks is generally sufficient. In heavy traffic or frequent stop-and-go conditions, fuel consumption rises slightly to 8L/100km, resulting in a somewhat shorter range, so I try to use the eco mode during rush hours to save fuel. When refueling, I prefer gas stations near supermarkets where I can exchange points for discounts to save some money. Additionally, the Touran L's fuel tank design is quite convenient—the filler neck is positioned toward the rear to avoid splashing dirt on the car body. Overall, the 60-liter capacity meets family car needs well, and those who don’t frequently take long trips don’t need to worry about refueling frequency.

What is the difference between 195 and 205 tires when driving on highways?

195 and 205 tires have different performance when driving on highways. The 205 tires provide better stability at high speeds, while the 195 tires are more fuel-efficient. The specific differences between 195 and 205 tires are as follows: Tire size difference: The diameter of a 195 tire is 634.5mm, while the diameter of a 205 tire is 631.9mm. The 195 tire has a diameter that is 2.6mm larger than the 205 tire. Aspect ratio difference: At the same tire height, the 205 tire has a lower aspect ratio than the 195 tire, meaning it offers better handling performance. Contact patch difference: The 205 tire is 10mm wider than the 195 tire, resulting in approximately 5% more rolling resistance. At low speeds without considering wind resistance, the 205 tire naturally consumes about 5% more fuel than the 195 tire.

Is a Car with Deployed Airbags Still Worth Keeping?

Airbags deployed in a car does not necessarily mean it cannot be kept. As long as the body structure and engine are unaffected, there is no issue at all. Function of Airbags: The airbag system is a passive safety (see vehicle safety performance) protection system. When used in conjunction with seat belts, it provides effective collision protection for occupants. Structure of Airbags: Airbags mainly consist of several components including impact sensors, an electronic processor, an inflation device, and the airbag itself. The airbag is made of high-strength fabric, typically a special woven nylon with a rubber lining, and is mostly concealed within the steering wheel, dashboard, door frame, and seats.

In which seasons are 15w40 and 20w50 engine oils used?

15w40 and 20w50 engine oils are both all-season oils, but since the minimum applicable temperature for these oils is -15 degrees Celsius, they cannot be used in certain regions during specific periods. The 'S' prefix denotes gasoline engine oils: Specifications include SA, SB, SC, SD, SE, SF, SG, SH, SJ, SL. The 'C' prefix denotes diesel engine oils: Specifications include CA, CB, CC, CD, CE, CF, CF-2, CF-4, CG-4, CH-4, CI-4. Oils with both 'S' and 'C' letters are universal for both gasoline and diesel engines.

What is the difference between China VI and China V vehicle emission standards?

The distinction between China V and China VI vehicle emission standards can be identified by the letter designation on the vehicle's rear: China V is represented by 'V', while China VI is represented by 'VI'. The differences between the two standards are as follows: Different emission standards: China VI standards are more than 30% stricter than China V. Excluding the influence of operating conditions and testing, gasoline vehicles under China VI must reduce carbon monoxide emissions by 50%, total hydrocarbons and non-methane hydrocarbons by 50%, and nitrogen oxide emissions by 42% compared to China V. Different implementation times: The China V standard was implemented nationwide on January 1, 2017, as the fifth stage of national motor vehicle emission standards. The China VI standard has been in effect since July 1, 2019. Different principles: Under China V, diesel and gasoline vehicles had different emission standards. However, China VI adopts a fuel-neutral principle, meaning the emission limits are the same regardless of the fuel type. Different issuing authorities: The China V standard was issued by the Ministry of Environmental Protection, while the China VI standard was jointly issued by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection, and Quarantine. Different letter designations: China V is represented by 'V', while China VI is represented by 'VI'. Different monitoring requirements for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs): Compared to China V, China VI has enhanced monitoring requirements for PHEVs, including energy storage systems, thermal management systems, regenerative braking, drive motors, generators, and other regulatory aspects. China V emission limits are as follows: Gasoline vehicles must not emit more than 1,000 mg of carbon monoxide per kilometer driven. Non-methane hydrocarbon emissions must not exceed 68 mg per kilometer. Nitrogen oxide emissions must not exceed 60 mg per kilometer. PM (particulate matter) emissions must not exceed 4.5 mg per kilometer. China VI has two sub-standards: China VIa and China VIb, with the following limits: China VIa emission limits: Gasoline vehicles must not emit more than 700 mg of carbon monoxide per kilometer driven. Non-methane hydrocarbon emissions must not exceed 68 mg per kilometer. Nitrogen oxide emissions must not exceed 60 mg per kilometer. PM emissions must not exceed 4.5 mg per kilometer. China VIb emission limits: Gasoline vehicles must not emit more than 500 mg of carbon monoxide per kilometer driven. Non-methane hydrocarbon emissions must not exceed 35 mg per kilometer. Nitrogen oxide emissions must not exceed 35 mg per kilometer. PM emissions must not exceed 3 mg per kilometer. Affected by the China VI emission policy, although China V vehicles are not currently restricted in normal use (no driving bans or plate restrictions), their resale value is significantly impacted. For truck owners, if they purchase a truck on loan for hauling goods, the vehicle's depreciation after paying off the loan is equivalent to the net profit earned during that period. A higher residual value means more profit for the owner. From this perspective, China VI vehicles, which have a longer service life and more road privileges, offer greater advantages.

What does the yellow half-circle exclamation mark light on the car mean?

Dashboard indicator light with a yellow half-circle exclamation mark typically indicates low tire pressure. Door status indicator light: This light shows whether the doors are fully closed. It illuminates when a door is open or not properly closed, alerting the driver that a door is ajar, and turns off when the door is closed. Parking brake indicator light: This light turns on when the parking brake handle (i.e., handbrake) is engaged. It automatically turns off when the handbrake is released. In some car models, this light may also illuminate when the brake fluid level is low. Battery indicator light: This light displays the working status of the battery. It lights up when the ignition is turned on and turns off after the engine starts. If it does not light up or remains lit continuously, the generator and circuit should be checked immediately.
