I'm very familiar with the fuel tank size of my Roewe RX5, which is exactly around 55 liters. I've been using this car for several years at home, and the fuel consumption for daily commuting is not high, averaging 8 liters per 100 kilometers. A full tank can easily cover 600 kilometers without any problem. Especially on long trips, like driving from Beijing to Shijiazhuang, I basically don't need to refuel midway, which is very convenient. Although a larger fuel tank is great, it's also important not to fill it up every day to avoid adding extra burden to the car. I usually fill it up to about 70-80%. In case of getting stuck in traffic with low fuel, it can last a bit longer. Anyway, this capacity is sufficient for daily use, and practicality was my main consideration when choosing this car.

What is the Function of Chrome Plating?

Chrome plating enhances the appearance of a car by improving its color, significantly increasing strength, hardness, and wear resistance, while simultaneously reducing plasticity and toughness. Chromium can improve the oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance of steel and also provides protection for some plastic parts. Additionally, when applied to areas like door handles, it can protect the paint surface. Advantages of Chrome Plating: The chrome plating layer has strong adhesion to the base metal. When properly applied, the bonding strength between the plating layer and steel can exceed that of the steel itself. The chrome plating layer exhibits excellent heat resistance and thermal conductivity. It can withstand high temperatures, with discoloration and changes in mechanical properties only occurring above 500 degrees Celsius. The thermal conductivity of chromium is second only to copper and is 40% higher than that of cast iron. Disadvantages of Chrome Plating: The deposition efficiency of the chrome plating layer is low, resulting in low productivity. The lubrication performance of the chrome plating layer is poor, leading to reduced wear resistance under conditions of insufficient lubrication. However, using porous chrome plating can improve wear resistance by 2-4 times. If not properly controlled, the chrome layer is prone to cracking and peeling.

Where is the crankcase ventilation valve located on the Chery Tiggo 3?

The crankcase ventilation valve of the Chery Tiggo 3 is located on the valve cover. Below is the removal method for the Chery Tiggo 3 crankshaft position sensor: 1. During removal, disconnect the sensor wiring harness from the main wiring harness near the rear of the intake manifold. 2. Remove the nut securing the crankshaft position sensor wire clamp on the fuel pipe mounting bolt, then remove the crankshaft position sensor mounting bolt. 3. Remove the crankshaft position sensor and the clamp for the crankshaft position sensor wiring harness. 4. During installation, insert the protrusion of the crankshaft position sensor into the hole in the transmission housing until the end face is flush. 5. Install and tighten the two mounting bolts of the crankshaft position sensor with a torque of 17-21 N·m. The two bolts used to secure the crankshaft position sensor to the transmission are specially designed to ensure the correct gap between the sensor and the flywheel. Do not substitute other bolts for the specially designed ones. 6. Connect the wiring harness plug to the crankshaft position sensor, install the sensor wiring harness clamp, attach the clamp to the fuel pipe mounting bolt, and tighten the clamp mounting nut.

What Causes Engine Oil to Turn into a Mud-like Substance?

Introduction to the reasons why engine oil turns into a mud-like substance: 1. The vehicle has not been maintained for a long time, and the oil deteriorates after prolonged use. 2. The quality of the oil added during vehicle maintenance does not meet the required standards, and it turns into a sludge state after high-load operation of the vehicle. 3. The engine itself has a fault, and impurities (such as gasoline or water) enter the oil during engine operation, causing the oil to deteriorate. Precautions for using a car engine are as follows: 1. Avoid driving in neutral gear: The engine itself has a deceleration fuel cut-off function, and driving in neutral is not conducive to fuel economy. 2. Pay attention to observation during normal vehicle use: If oil is found on the ground, determine whether there is an engine oil leak and communicate with the car 4S store in time to eliminate potential safety hazards. 3. For vehicles equipped with turbochargers: Do not turn off the engine immediately after high-speed driving or climbing a slope; let it idle for 10 minutes before shutting down. Vehicles with turbochargers form carbon deposits several times faster than naturally aspirated vehicles. 4. When brake fluid is mixed with or absorbs water, or if impurities or sediments are found in the brake fluid, it should be replaced or carefully filtered in time. Otherwise, it will cause insufficient braking pressure and affect braking performance.

Why is the car sunroof leaking into the cabin?

The reasons for water leakage from the car sunroof into the cabin are: blockage of the sunroof drainage pipe or poor sealing of the sunroof rubber gasket. It is recommended to check if the car sunroof has this issue. Additionally, the drainage pipe is divided into two sections. If the sunroof leaks into the cabin, it might be due to blockage causing water to seep into the cabin from the joint between the two sections. Other reasons for water leakage from the car sunroof into the cabin: 1. Rain entering through an unclosed window during rainy days. If the driver does not confirm whether the windows are tightly closed after exiting the vehicle, rainwater may drift into various parts of the car through the loosely closed windows. Over time, water will drip under the car's cabin. 2. Issues with the drainage outlets. After ruling out human factors, if water still drips under the car's cabin, the vehicle's drainage outlets should be checked. The car has four drainage outlets: the front two are for sunroof drainage, and the rear two are for draining water flowing on the car. 3. Long-term accumulation of debris blocking the drainage outlets, especially in vehicles with sunroofs, as opening the sunroof makes it easier for debris to accumulate and cause leaks.

Why Do Both Drivers and Passengers Need to Wear Seat Belts?

When a car is moving at high speed, sudden braking can cause the vehicle to stop abruptly, while the front-seat passengers continue moving forward due to inertia, potentially causing injuries to both the driver and passengers. Therefore, it is essential for both drivers and passengers to use seat belts. Below are some key precautions for seat belt usage: 1. Regularly inspect the seat belt. When pulling the belt down slowly by hand, it should smoothly extend from the retractor. Press the release button to detach it after use. Additionally, ensure all bolts securing the seat belt are tightened, and apply sealant around them. 2. Wear the seat belt correctly. The three-point lap belt should be worn as low as possible, across the hips, not the waist. The shoulder belt should not be placed under the arm but should cross the chest diagonally. Seat belts are designed for single-person use only; sharing is strictly prohibited. 3. Do not remove or modify the seat belt arbitrarily. If a seat belt has been subjected to a strong stretching force, it should be replaced immediately, even if no visible damage is present. When not in use, avoid careless handling or storage. 4. Clean the seat belt carefully. For dirty seat belts, use a mild soap and water solution with a cloth or sponge for cleaning. Avoid dyes and bleach, as they can corrode the belt and reduce its tensile strength. Also, refrain from using hard brushes to prevent damage.
