What is the fuel pressure of the Volkswagen 1.4T engine?

The fuel pressure of the Volkswagen 1.4T engine is 2-5 bar. Method for testing automotive fuel pressure: Turn on the ignition (without starting the engine) to operate the electric fuel pump. The fuel pressure at this time should meet technical requirements, generally fluctuating around 0.3MPa. Clamp the return hose, and the reading on the pressure gauge will be the maximum fuel supply pressure of the pump, which should comply with the vehicle's technical requirements, typically 2-3 times the working pressure, i.e., 0.5-0.75MPa. Release the hose clamp to restore static fuel pressure, remove the jumper wire from the fuel pump relay to stop the pump, and wait for 5 minutes. The pressure gauge reading at this time will be the fuel system's holding pressure, which should meet the vehicle's technical specifications, generally around 340KPa. Working principle of the fuel pressure regulator: The fuel pressure is regulated by the coordination of the spring and the vacuum in the chamber. When the fuel pressure exceeds the standard value, high-pressure fuel pushes the diaphragm upward, opening the ball valve, and excess fuel flows back to the tank through the return pipe. When the pressure falls below the standard value, the spring pushes the diaphragm downward to close the ball valve, stopping the return flow. The function of the pressure regulator is to maintain a constant pressure in the fuel line.
