What is the fuel consumption of the Boyue X?

The Boyue X currently has four available models for sale, all of which are from the 2022 lineup: the Boyue X-1.8TD-DCT Zhi Ling, Zhi Zun, Zhi Lian, and Zhi Hui. These models are equipped with a 184-horsepower engine and have an NEDC fuel consumption of 7.7L per 100 kilometers. The fuel tank capacity of the Boyue X is 58L. When fully fueled, it can travel approximately 753km (58/7.7*100). The fuel consumption of a car is directly influenced by five main factors: driving habits, the car itself, road conditions, natural wind, and environmental temperature. The specific factors that can increase fuel consumption are as follows: Driving habits: Aggressive driving behaviors such as sudden acceleration, frequent overtaking, and not easing off the throttle before reaching a red light can lead to higher fuel consumption. The car itself: Cars with larger engine displacements generally consume more fuel than those with smaller displacements because larger engines typically produce more power and require more gasoline for combustion. Additionally, heavier cars tend to have higher fuel consumption due to the need for greater driving torque. Road conditions: Driving on rough, muddy, soft, or mountainous roads increases resistance, leading to higher fuel consumption. Natural wind: Driving against the wind or on windy days increases the car's resistance, resulting in higher fuel consumption. Low environmental temperatures: When the engine block is cold, the injected gasoline does not vaporize easily, requiring more fuel for combustion. Additionally, in colder temperatures, the engine control unit may increase the idle speed to warm up the engine, which also raises fuel consumption.
I've been driving the Boyue X for almost a year now and would like to share my fuel consumption experience. For daily urban commuting, the average fuel consumption is around 9 to 10 liters per 100 kilometers; on highways, it can drop to about 7 liters, which is quite economical. The engine is a 1.5T, offering decent power but not top-tier in terms of fuel efficiency; driving habits play a key role—I tend to drive steadily, avoiding sudden acceleration and braking, which helps save a lot of fuel. Using 95-octane gasoline yields slightly better performance compared to 92-octane. Regular maintenance is crucial, such as changing the engine oil and air filter every 5,000 kilometers and keeping the spark plugs clean, otherwise, fuel consumption can spike. Also, make sure to check the tire pressure and avoid letting it get too low. Fuel consumption does increase when using air conditioning in summer, but I keep it within an acceptable range. My actual average is around 8.8L/100km, making it a manageable choice for family use and suitable for daily commuting.
