I've been driving the BYD Song Pro DM-i hybrid for three years now, and I've noticed that using the air conditioning does increase fuel consumption. Normally, without AC, my combined fuel consumption is around 5 liters per 100 kilometers. However, during summer when I need to use the cooling system, it jumps to between 5.5 and 6 liters. In winter, using the heater has a smaller impact, usually around 5.2 to 5.7 liters. The main reason is that the AC compressor requires extra power from the engine, and as soon as it kicks in, fuel consumption rises. In city traffic with AC on, it can be even more noticeable, sometimes reaching 6.5 liters. But I've gotten used to it and find it still within reasonable limits. I try to maintain a steady speed while driving to avoid frequent acceleration, which helps save some fuel even with AC on. Interestingly, on long highway trips without AC, the fuel consumption doesn't decrease much. Ultimately, it varies from person to person depending on driving habits and weather conditions.

What is the appropriate tire pressure for the front and rear tires of the X-Trail?

The appropriate tire pressure for the front and rear tires of the X-Trail is between 2.2 and 2.5 bar. When the load is light, the tire pressure should be between 2.2 and 2.4 bar, while when fully loaded with passengers, the pressure can reach 2.4 to 2.5 bar. In winter, the tire pressure can be slightly increased, but it is recommended not to exceed 2.8 bar. In summer, the tire pressure should be reduced by 0.1 to 0.2 bar. In terms of body dimensions, the X-Trail measures 4675 mm in length, 1820 mm in width, and 1722 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2706 mm. For the interior, the X-Trail is equipped with advanced technologies such as a digital 6-disc high-fidelity theater CD plus audio sound system, intelligent remote key system, intelligent voice navigation system, ASCD cruise control system, rearview camera, side-view system, multimedia entertainment system, anti-glare interior rearview mirror, external temperature display, and intermittent multi-level adjustable front wipers.

What is SAE 15W40 engine oil?

SAE stands for the classification by the Society of Automotive Engineers; 15 represents viscosity, 40 indicates suitable temperature; the symbol W stands for Winter. Below is the relevant introduction to engine oil: 1. Winter oil grades: The winter oil grades under SAE lubricant viscosity classification are: 0W, 5W, 10W, 15W, 20W, 25W. The symbol W stands for Winter, and the smaller the number before W, the lower the low-temperature viscosity, the better the low-temperature fluidity, and the lower the minimum applicable temperature. 2. Summer oil grades: The summer oil grades under SAE lubricant viscosity classification are: 20, 30, 40, 50. The larger the number, the higher the viscosity and the higher the maximum applicable temperature. 3. All-season oil grades: The all-season oil grades under SAE lubricant viscosity classification are: 5W-20, 5W-30, 5W-40, 5W-50, 10W-20, 10W-30, 10W-40, 10W-50, 15W-20, 15W-30, 15W-40, 15W-50, 20W-20, 20W-30, 20W-40, 20W-50.

What Happens If a Car Is Not Scrapped?

Consequences of not scrapping a car: 1. Basis for vehicle confiscation. 2. Basis for fines and license revocation. 3. Basis for not being able to obtain a new license within 2 years after revocation. Below is the car scrapping process: 1. The vehicle owner must bring their ID, vehicle registration certificate, vehicle license, and license plate to the vehicle dismantling factory's business department to fill out the "Application for Vehicle Suspension, Resumption/Cancellation of Registration." 2. Apply at the registration acceptance counter, where a "Vehicle Scrapping Notice" will be issued for vehicles that have reached the scrapping age. For vehicles that have not reached the scrapping age, the vehicle inspection counter will determine if they meet the scrapping standards and issue a "Vehicle Scrapping Notice." 3. The owner selects a qualified recycling company to dismantle the vehicle and submits the "Notice." 4. The recycling company verifies the "Notice," dismantles the vehicle, and takes photos. The engine must be separated from the vehicle, the engine block must be broken, and the frame (chassis) must be cut. 5. The owner submits the "Change Form," "XX Province Vehicle Renewal Technical Appraisal Form," "Scrapped Vehicle Recycling Certificate," and dismantling photos to the vehicle inspection counter for verification and signature. The license and documents are then recycled, and the scrapping registration is processed according to regulations.

Does the original three-way catalytic converter have a designated code?

Original three-way catalytic converters all have designated codes, as original vehicle parts are strictly selected, installed, and coded. Composition of the three-way catalytic converter: The three-way catalytic converter generally consists of four parts: the shell, vibration damping layer, carrier, and catalyst coating. Shell: Made of stainless steel to prevent oxide scale from falling off, which could cause blockage of the carrier. Vibration damping layer: Composed of gaskets or wire mesh pads, it serves to seal, insulate, and fix the carrier. To protect the carrier from damage due to vibration, thermal deformation, and other factors, the gasket is made of expanded mica and aluminum silicate fiber, bonded with adhesive. Carrier: Made of honeycomb-shaped ceramic material, though many also use metal (including stainless steel) materials. Catalyst: Composed of precious metals such as platinum, rhodium, and palladium, sprayed onto the carrier to form the purifying agent. Lifespan of the three-way catalytic converter: The lifespan of a three-way catalytic converter is generally between 80,000 to 100,000 kilometers. The specific lifespan depends on the vehicle's usage conditions and is also related to the quality of fuel used and the driving environment.

What are the repair methods for the old Jetta not engaging reverse gear?

Repair methods for not engaging reverse gear are as follows: 1. Adjust the free travel and total travel of the clutch pedal; Bleed the hydraulic control system; adjust the hydraulic control system, repair the clutch; 2. Adjust the external shift mechanism of the transmission: Eliminate jamming, remove foreign objects, and ensure the shift lever operates accurately; 3. Inspect and repair the transmission's control mechanism: Replace or repair damaged shift forks and shift fork guides. Reasons for not engaging reverse gear are as follows: 1. Clutch: If you find it difficult to engage reverse gear, it might be because the clutch is not fully depressed. In this case, simply press the clutch again. 2. Gear Position: If the clutch is fully depressed and reverse gear still cannot be engaged, it might be due to the gear teeth being misaligned. Since many car models do not have synchronizers for reverse gear, there is a chance that the gear teeth are misaligned when you try to engage reverse, preventing it from engaging. The solution is simple: shift into 1st, 2nd, or 3rd gear to rotate the gears slightly, then try engaging reverse again.
