EQUATOR is a Jiangling Ford vehicle. The relevant introduction of the Equator is as follows: Design: The EQUATOR adopts a brand-new design language, especially the daytime running lights in the split-type headlights, which are connected to the grille on the inner side and feature a hook-like shape on the outer side. The overall design of the vehicle is very square, while the rear incorporates the currently popular full-width taillight assembly. Interior: The EQUATOR features the trendy dual-screen design, with the interior covered in large areas of genuine leather and soft materials. The addition of a rotary electronic gear shifter and multimedia knob enhances the technological atmosphere inside the cabin. The vehicle offers three seating layout options: 5-seat, 6-seat, and 7-seat configurations. Body Dimensions: The length, width, and height are 4905/1930/1755mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2865mm.

Recently studied the Ford Equator, quite an interesting SUV. It's a mid-to-large SUV launched by Ford in the domestic market, with a body length exceeding 4.9 meters and a wheelbase of 2.86 meters. The three-row seating layout is particularly suitable for large families. The 2.0T engine paired with a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission provides adequate power without being overly aggressive, and the low-end torque tuning is well-suited for city commuting. The third-row space is actually more spacious than the Highlander, and the ability to fold the seats completely flat is very practical. In terms of tech features, it comes with dual 12.3-inch screens and the Co-Pilot360 intelligent driving system as standard across all trims, making stop-and-go traffic much easier with the auto-hold function at red lights. However, the logo isn't the traditional Ford blue oval, which often draws curious glances from passersby.

Recently accompanied a friend on a test drive of the Ford Equator, and what impressed me most was its ride comfort. Despite being an SUV in the 200,000 yuan price range, the seat padding uses three layers of materials with different firmness levels. The second-row independent seats come with heating and ventilation functions, and the leg rest can be adjusted electrically. The NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) treatment is also well done, with tire noise barely audible at 80 km/h cruising speed. The infotainment system is equipped with Tencent TAI 3.0, and voice recognition can control details like the degree of sunroof opening. The tailgate features a hands-free opening function—just swipe your foot under the bumper when coming out of the supermarket. If there's a downside, it might be the fuel consumption, which can reach around 11 liters per 100 km in city driving with the air conditioning on.

As an SUV enthusiast, the design highlights of the Equator really appeal to me. The front features a starry grille with active air flaps, and the split-type headlights provide excellent nighttime visibility without dazzling oncoming traffic. The interior combines piano black trim with deep blue leather, and the steering wheel is perforated leather. The most surprising feature is the center console—it's deep enough to hold four bottles of water and even has a cooling function. The rear seats come with independent climate controls, and the flat floor design ensures comfort even for the middle passenger. The cabin includes ambient lighting with seven color options, and when you open the door at night, a projection light displays the word 'Equator' on the ground. These small details show the designer's thoughtful approach.
