A failing exhaust system can lead to several problems. A loud roar indicates a potential hole in the muffler or a broken pipe. A smell of rotten eggs often points to a failing catalytic converter. Most importantly, a leak can allow dangerous carbon monoxide gas to enter the passenger cabin. Regular inspections, especially for rust, are essential for safety and performance.
