What is the emission standard of the Vios?

Vios models produced before 2018 comply with the China V emission standard, while the new Vios meets the China VI emission standard. The dimensions of the new Vios are 4410mm in length, 1700mm in width, and 1490mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2550mm. This model is equipped with two engines: a 1.3-liter naturally aspirated engine and a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine. The 1.3-liter naturally aspirated engine has a maximum power output at 6000 rpm and a maximum torque at 4200 rpm; the 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine also has a maximum power output at 6000 rpm and a maximum torque at 4200 rpm. For the interior, the new Vios offers two color schemes for the dashboard: all black or a combination of black upper and beige lower. Although the dashboard still uses hard plastic materials, the craftsmanship has been improved, giving it a more refined visual appearance.
Recently, while choosing a new car, I researched the Vios, and its emission standards really depend on the year. Older models around 2015 are mostly China IV, with less clean exhaust; the 2019 to 2020 models were upgraded to China V, offering better emission control; the latest 2023 models all meet the China VI standard, which is particularly eco-friendly. Before buying, I checked the vehicle's environmental label and recommend choosing a China VI model to avoid traffic restrictions and save money and hassle. Older models may suffice in small towns or rural areas, but in cities, it's better to opt for newer ones.
