12122 is the national highway emergency rescue hotline in China. This emergency hotline is completely non-profit and can only be used after approval by the Communications Administration for reporting highway emergencies. Provinces that have activated the 12122 service include Beijing, Chongqing, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Henan, Qinghai, Hunan, Hebei, Guizhou, Zhejiang, Fujian, Hubei, Ningxia, and others. The "12122" service primarily has three functions: 1. Receiving accident reports from drivers on highways. 2. Assisting drivers whose vehicles break down, experience tire blowouts, or encounter other emergencies on highways and cannot move, requiring external rescue. 3. Providing road condition inquiries.
