What is the emergency handling method when the Edge sunroof cannot be closed?

Press and release to open the sunroof. If functioning normally, the sunroof will stop when approaching the fully open position, and pressing and releasing again will fully open it. Press and release to tilt open the sunroof; if the anti-pinch sunroof or sunshade encounters an obstacle during closing, it will retract a certain distance and automatically stop.
I still remember last year when I was on a long-distance trip in my Edge, the sunroof suddenly wouldn't close—it was raining and I was nearly frantic. For emergency handling, the first step is to pull over to a safe spot: on the Edge, there's usually a small hole near the sunroof switch with a manual closing knob inside. Use a coin or hex wrench to turn it counterclockwise a few times to force the sunroof shut. However, if there are small stones or leaves stuck in the tracks, you need to clear the debris first before trying again, otherwise it might scratch the glass. Never force it shut, as this could deform the rails and cause bigger issues. Once resolved, drive to a repair shop to check for motor or switch malfunctions. For prevention, I clean the tracks every season to prevent dust buildup. If it won't close while driving, cover it with a waterproof cloth as a temporary measure.
