Exceed is the Exeed brand under Chery, positioned as a mid-to-high-end brand developed on the new M3X platform. This series is positioned above the Arrizo and Tiggo series. The production site of Exeed cars is located in Wuhu, eastern Anhui Province. The Exeed-TX made its debut at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. The brand's first model, the Exeed TX, was launched in early 2019. The brand offers several SUV models, including the Exeed VX, Exeed E-IUV, Exeed LX, and Exeed TX. Among them, the Exeed TX and LX have already been launched, with the TX positioned as a midsize SUV and the LX as a compact SUV. Taking the 2021 Exeed TX two-wheel-drive Star Edition as an example, its body structure is a five-door, five-seat SUV with dimensions of 4690mm in length, 1885mm in width, and 1706mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2715mm, front track of 1616mm, rear track of 1593mm, a fuel tank capacity of 55 liters, a luggage compartment capacity ranging from 461 to 970 liters, and a curb weight of 1560kg. The Exeed TX is Chery's first launched model, with the TX being the standard wheelbase version and the long wheelbase version named TXL, positioned as a five-seat midsize SUV. As an annual facelift model, the new car's exterior and interior design remain largely consistent with the current model.

You mentioned the eceed, which should be Kia's very distinctive compact car, the XCeed. I have a friend who drove this car in Europe. It's actually a small station wagon based on the Ceed platform, featuring smooth design lines and a fastback-style rear hatch. In terms of power, it uses 1.0T and 1.4T engines, with a manual transmission as standard but a 7-speed dual-clutch available for higher trims. The car is about 4.3 meters long, yet the trunk offers over 400 liters of capacity. It's particularly agile in the city, with a sport-tuned suspension, making it suitable for young people who enjoy a dynamic driving experience. It sells quite well in Europe, but it's a shame it wasn't introduced to the domestic market.

The XCeed is, in my opinion, one of the smartest crossovers Kia has ever made. It brilliantly blends the handling of a hatchback with the practicality of an SUV, featuring a raised chassis height of 174mm and 20mm more tire clearance than the standard Ceed – ensuring decent off-road capability without the bulkiness of a traditional SUV. What I love most is its optional all-wheel-drive system, paired with an electronic parking brake and hill-start assist, making winter driving on icy roads incredibly reassuring. The center console boasts a 10.25-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, and the audio quality surpasses competitors in its class. If you prioritize cargo space, I’d recommend checking out its sibling model, the ProCeed, which offers a more practical tailgate design.

Last time I rented an XCeed for two weeks during a self-drive trip in Europe, and it completely overturned my stereotypes about Korean cars. This car drives exceptionally agile, with steering so precise it doesn't feel like a compact model. The dashboard features a 12.3-inch full LCD display, and the HUD projection area is large enough to directly display navigation turn arrows on the windshield. The 1.5-liter diesel version has ultra-low fuel consumption, only 4.2 liters per 100 kilometers. The rear seat space is more spacious than it looks, comfortably seating three without feeling cramped. Unfortunately, there's no sunroof option, but the ambient lighting during night driving adds a nice touch of romance. It's particularly suitable for couples on short trips, as the trunk easily fits two 28-inch suitcases.
