What is the distribution of the 50 questions in Subject 4?

Subject 4 consists of 50 questions, which are divided into true/false questions (1-20), single-choice questions (20-40), and multiple-choice questions (41-50). The questions are mainly presented in the form of case studies, pictures, and animations. The full score is 100, and a passing score is 90. Subject 4, also known as the Subject 4 theory test or driver theory test, is part of the motor vehicle driver's license assessment. After the implementation of the Ministry of Public Security's Order No. 123, the Subject 3 test was divided into two parts: the road test and an additional safety and civilization knowledge test, commonly referred to as "Subject 4," which assesses "driving ethics." Because this test is conducted after Subject 3, it is commonly called the Subject 4 test. Officially, there is no Subject 4. If you fail Subject 4, you do not need to retake the previously passed subjects (Subject 1, Subject 2, Subject 3). You can schedule a retake on your own, and no retake fee is required. There are no scheduling restrictions, but the validity period of the driving skill test permit is three years. If the applicant does not complete the test within the validity period, the results of the previously passed subjects will become invalid.
The distribution of the 50 questions in Subject 4 is quite clear. I remember when I took the test, there were 40 single-choice questions, 5 multiple-choice questions, and 5 true/false questions. The single-choice questions mostly covered traffic regulations, such as right-of-way rules and speed limits—basic knowledge that can be directly applied to driving. The multiple-choice questions focused on safe driving behaviors, like penalties for drunk driving, where you had to select all correct options. The true/false questions concentrated on the correct handling of emergency situations. In terms of knowledge distribution, regulations accounted for 50%, safety knowledge 30%, and other topics like driving etiquette made up the remaining 20%. During preparation, I practiced more with the driving school question bank and passed easily.
