The displacement of the BMW 6 Series GT is 2.0 liters. Below is some introductory information about the BMW 6 Series GT: The entire lineup is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, with a maximum torque of 400 Nm and a maximum power of 190 kW. The maximum torque is achieved at 1550 rpm, while the maximum power is delivered between 5000 to 6500 rpm. This engine features direct fuel injection technology and utilizes an aluminum alloy cylinder head and block. The BMW 6 Series GT is the successor to the BMW 5 Series GT, with dimensions of 5103mm in length, 1904mm in width, and 1550mm in height, and a wheelbase of 3070mm.

Just a few days ago, I helped a friend research the BMW 6 Series GT, and its engine displacement is quite interesting. Currently, all models on sale are equipped with a 2.0T four-cylinder engine, which is BMW's classic B48 powerplant, with a displacement of 1998cc. The engine comes in two power outputs: high and low. The high-power version can deliver 258 horsepower, which is more than adequate for daily driving, and the throttle response is very precise. However, I heard that the older models included a 3.0T inline-six 640i variant with a displacement of 2998cc, which can still occasionally be found in the used car market—that engine produces a deeper, more robust exhaust note. Nowadays, the entire lineup comes standard with a 48V mild hybrid system, making the start-stop function much smoother at traffic lights, and the fuel efficiency has improved significantly compared to the pure gasoline era, averaging just over 8L/100km.

I've been commuting with my 6 Series GT for nearly two years now, and I have some thoughts about the engine displacement. All new models now come with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. Though the displacement may not seem large, paired with the ZF 8-speed automatic transmission, the acceleration is remarkably responsive. Once I drove in Sport mode throughout a mountain road trip, and the power was readily available without any struggle. It's a pity they discontinued the 3.0T version after the facelift two years ago – that six-cylinder engine delivered a more continuous push-back sensation during acceleration. The current lineup now features a mild hybrid system, and the steering wheel hardly vibrates during auto start-stop, which is a significant improvement over the older models. I recommend using at least 95-octane fuel, and from my experience, 98-octane makes the engine sound even smoother.

Just test drove the new 6 Series GT at the dealership. The salesperson said only the 2.0T version is available now. With a turbocharged 1998cc displacement and 184 kW output, it accelerates fast enough, reaching 0-100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds. The 630i Luxury Package on display costs just over 600,000 yuan out-the-door, with a listed combined fuel consumption of 7L/100km on the spec sheet. The engine bay houses a 48V motor, and the auto start-stop system has almost no vibration. I remember the 2018 model still had a 3.0T option, but now if you want a six-cylinder, you'll have to look for a used one.

How to fix the P0420 trouble code?

P0420 trouble code can be resolved by replacing the catalytic converter with a brand new one. This trouble code may appear due to a damaged catalytic converter. The catalytic converter is installed at the front section of the exhaust pipe, and this component is used to purify vehicle exhaust. The catalytic converter is a very important part of a car, and it may fail after prolonged use. There are oxygen sensors both before and after the catalytic converter. The oxygen sensor in front is called the front oxygen sensor, and the one behind is called the rear oxygen sensor. The main function of the front oxygen sensor is to detect the oxygen content in the exhaust, which allows it to send data back to the ECU. The ECU can then adjust the air-fuel ratio based on this data. The rear oxygen sensor can also detect the oxygen content in the exhaust and send the data to the ECU. The ECU can compare the data from the front and rear oxygen sensors. If the data from both sensors is the same, it indicates that the catalytic converter has malfunctioned.

What do P, R, N, D, and S mean in an automatic transmission car?

The meanings of P, R, N, D, and S in an automatic transmission car: 1. P stands for Parking gear, also known as the parking position. When parking the car for an extended period, the gear lever should be placed in P. 2. R stands for Reverse gear, used when the car needs to move backward. 3. N is equivalent to the Neutral gear in a manual transmission car, commonly used when starting the car. 4. D stands for Drive gear, the most frequently used gear when driving an automatic transmission car. 5. S stands for Sport gear, where the transmission can shift freely, providing stronger power when driving uphill.

What does a spare tire mean?

A spare tire refers to an additional tire carried by a vehicle, which is of the same specifications as the original tires. However, some vehicles use spare tires with special-colored rims, compact spare tires, folding spare tires, or run-flat tires to remind the owner to inspect and replace faulty tires promptly. A full-size spare tire is identical in size and specifications to the other four tires on the vehicle and can replace any temporarily or permanently unusable tire. A compact spare tire, on the other hand, has a slightly smaller diameter and width compared to the other four tires and is intended only for temporary use. It must be used on non-driving wheels and should not exceed a speed of 80 kilometers per hour. Run-flat tires, also known as safety tires, differ from regular tires in that they do not lose air or lose air very slowly when punctured. They maintain their shape, and the tire bead remains securely fixed to the rim, allowing the vehicle to continue driving for an extended period or temporarily until reaching a repair station.

What does Magotan B8 mean?

Magotan B8 actually represents the eighth-generation model of the Magotan. The Volkswagen Magotan originated from the Volkswagen Passat B6 and is the first B-segment sedan produced and sold by FAW-Volkswagen. Starting from the B6, FAW-Volkswagen introduced it to the domestic market, and since then, Volkswagen's new B-segment sedans have been produced by FAW-Volkswagen. Therefore, the domestic market currently has three generations of Magotan models: B6, B7, and B8. The new Magotan adopts the MQB platform, from which most of Volkswagen's future models will be based. Compared to the older PQ46 platform, its body strength is higher, resulting in improved crash safety. At the same time, the vehicle weight is reduced by nearly 170 pounds, effectively lowering fuel consumption, reducing carbon emissions, and enhancing handling performance.

What Are the Reasons Why the Car Key Cannot Be Pulled Out?

Reasons why the car key cannot be pulled out: 1. After turning off the engine, the key cannot be pulled out, which is common in automatic transmission models. The reason is that the gear is not fully returned to the P position, not touching the electronic sensor, or there are coins or other objects in the gear slot hindering the return. 2. If the key cannot be turned after insertion, it is due to the car's steering wheel automatic locking function. If the steering wheel was turned left or right after parking and turning off the engine, or if the wheels were not straight when parking, the force applied can cause the steering wheel to turn, triggering the steering wheel self-locking function. If the steering wheel is locked, gently shake the steering wheel with your left hand while simultaneously turning the key with your right hand to unlock it.

What does the N gear mean?

N gear stands for neutral, which is the gear used for temporary parking. This gear is located between R gear and D gear. You can shift to N gear when waiting at traffic lights or for parking durations exceeding 30 seconds. The purpose is to cut off the power transmission between the input and output shafts inside the transmission. If parked on a slope, you should press the brake pedal or engage the electronic parking brake to prevent the vehicle from rolling. The difference between N gear and P gear is that when in N gear, the engine does not shut off, but power is not delivered to the drive wheels, so the vehicle does not move. However, the wheels do not have braking force, posing a risk of rolling or moving. When in P gear, the parking brake mechanism inside the transmission locks the output shaft, ensuring the vehicle has no power and provides a certain braking effect.
