Although new vehicles enjoy a 6-year exemption from inspection, in reality, new vehicles need to undergo an on-site inspection in their 6th year. During the first 6 years, only some related procedures are required in the second and fourth years, which can be handled by the owner. However, in the sixth year, the owner must take the vehicle to a testing station for an on-site inspection, and the inspection mark can only be obtained after passing the inspection. Vehicle inspection time regulations: 1. Small and micro non-commercial vehicles: Inspections are required every two years within the first 6 years, and those meeting the exemption conditions can directly apply for the inspection mark. Starting from November 20, 2020, non-commercial small and micro passenger vehicles (excluding minivans) over 6 years but under 10 years old will have their inspection frequency relaxed from once a year to once every two years. For vehicles aged 10-15 years, inspections are required once a year. For vehicles over 15 years old, inspections are required every six months. 2. Commercial passenger vehicles: Commercial passenger vehicles must undergo an annual inspection within the first 5 years, and every 6 months after exceeding five years.
