The key difference between run-flat tires and regular tires is safety performance. When a regular tire blows out, it instantly goes flat, forcing you to stop immediately to change the tire, which can be extremely dangerous in rainy conditions or on highways and may lead to accidents. Run-flat tires, on the other hand, have reinforced sidewalls. Even if punctured by a nail and leaking air, they allow you to continue driving for 50 to 80 kilometers, safely reaching a repair shop without the urgent need to change the tire.
