The differences between Ford ST and RS: 1. Different appearance: The Ford ST uses a large number of black components on the front of the car, grille, etc., and is equipped with dual-color 18-inch wheels, a sport bumper, and a rear spoiler; the RS is equipped with an aerodynamic kit all over the body, and the huge black spoiler at the rear gives a strong visual impact. 2. Different engines: The Ford ST is equipped with a 1.5T three-cylinder turbocharged engine; the RS is equipped with a 2.3T engine. 3. Different power: The Ford ST has a maximum power of 250 kW and a peak torque of 345 Nm, matched with a 6-speed manual transmission, but does not come with an all-wheel drive system; the RS has a maximum power of 350 kW and a peak torque of 440 Nm, with the transmission system matched to a 6-speed manual transmission, and comes standard with an all-wheel drive system, using 19-inch wheels.

As an owner of a Ford Focus ST for five years, I believe the ST series is more suitable for daily commuting and city driving. With horsepower around 250, it accelerates quickly while being fuel-efficient, averaging about 7-8L/100km. The suspension is tuned to a moderate stiffness, making speed bumps less jarring. The interior features sport seats without compromising comfort, and insurance costs are reasonable. In comparison, the Focus RS is more like a track beast, boasting 350 horsepower and an all-wheel-drive system for strong cornering grip. However, after driving a friend's RS, I found it noisy, with fuel consumption exceeding 10L/100km, priced over 100,000 RMB more, and more expensive to maintain. For those of us prioritizing convenience, the ST offers much better value for money and is less tiring on long drives.

What to Do When the Car Stalls in Water?

Turn off the engine, turn on the hazard warning lights, promptly call for rescue, and evacuate to a safe place to wait for assistance. Generally, there are three main reasons why a car suddenly stalls while driving: 1. Electrical circuit failure: The car stalls due to low-voltage power interruption. In this case, you should mainly check the ignition and starter switches, as well as the fuse box. 2. Low-voltage circuit short circuit causing the car to stall: In this situation, the car stalls intermittently. Check the car's low-voltage circuits. 3. Component failure: This issue is usually related to the ignition coil, capacitor, or electronic ignition module. The car may start initially but stall after a while, then start again and stall once more.

How Much Can Insurance Cover for a Flooded New Car Declared as Total Loss?

For such cases of vehicle total loss, insurance companies typically handle it as a total loss, which means paying out the insured amount under the vehicle damage insurance, with the totaled vehicle being processed by the insurance company. Below is relevant information about flood-damaged vehicles: 1. Damage to electronic components: Flooding causes significant damage to a car's electronic equipment; the mixed rainwater is highly corrosive and will affect the future functionality of electrical components. 2. Damage to vehicle parts: The computer integrated blocks may oxidize due to immersion, often requiring inspection and replacement, otherwise normal operation cannot be ensured. Additionally, components such as the engine, transmission, ABS, airbags, and onboard computer may suffer short-circuit damage after being submerged in water.

What Accessories Should Be Installed for a New Car?

Generally, the following accessories need to be installed for a new car: 1. Window Tinting: Applying window film not only enhances aesthetics and blocks sunlight but also provides some level of privacy by preventing passersby from peering inside, ensuring the privacy of the car owner and their family. 2. Installing a Dash Cam: The working principle of a car dash cam is to digitally record and continuously update the road conditions in front of, inside, and around the vehicle. The recorded data includes in-car audio, the car's acceleration, steering, and braking, which can be used to investigate traffic accident liabilities. 3. Installing Undercarriage Protection: The benefit of installing a protective plate is to shield the car's undercarriage from obstacles and prevent damage to the chassis.

Is It Normal for a New Car's Engine Compartment to Be Very Dirty?

It is not normal. If a new car's engine compartment has a significant amount of dust and mud, it may indicate that the vehicle has experienced issues (such as flooding, accidents, refurbishment, etc.), or it could be an overstocked vehicle. Below are specific details about overstocked vehicles: 1. Prone to Moisture and Aging: After leaving the factory, various fluids, electronic components, batteries, rubber seals, and tires in a new car can easily suffer from moisture damage and aging if they are not periodically inspected and maintained during prolonged storage. 2. Component Aging: For overstocked vehicles that have been stored for too long, without proper warehouse management, the aging of electronic components and rubber products is often undetectable without professional testing equipment. Many overstocked vehicles also experience issues like lack of oil or power.
