There are the following differences between DMI and DMP: 1. BYD DMI: Refers to BYD's front-wheel-drive-oriented plug-in hybrid electric vehicles. BYD also has DMp, which focuses on all-wheel-drive performance (full-time four-wheel drive) vehicles. DMp also features pure electric driving, range-extended driving, and hybrid technology. In short, DMi is a front-wheel-drive fuel-saving system, while DMp is a high-performance all-wheel-drive system model with an additional rear axle motor. 2. BYD DMp: Refers to the BYD DMp series equipped with a turbocharged engine + dual-clutch transmission + rear motor. The DMp series focuses on all-wheel-drive performance (full-time four-wheel drive) vehicles and also features pure electric driving, range-extended driving, and hybrid technology. DMp has one model with a 180kW rear-mounted single motor and two models with front + rear (250kW + 180kW) dual motors.
