What is the difference between Carlife and Carplay?

Carlife and Carplay differ in the following aspects: 1. System: Carlife is a cross-platform car and mobile phone interconnection system launched by Baidu's Internet of Vehicles, while Carplay is a car and mobile phone interconnection system released by Apple Inc. in the United States. 2. Compatibility: Carlife is compatible with Android, Linux, and QNX on the car's end, whereas Carplay only supports iPhone. Carlife has a broader range of applications and, compared to other Internet of Vehicles products, users don't need to worry about their smartphone system; they can simply connect to the car's system via Wi-Fi or a data cable, with a rich selection of apps available. The limitation of Carplay is that it is confined to the IOS system, meaning car owners cannot use Carplay if they do not have an iPhone.
As someone who has used many in-car systems, I think the main differences between CarPlay and CarLife lie in device compatibility and application integration. CarPlay is designed specifically for Apple devices, only supporting iPhone connections, and integrates Siri voice assistant and Apple Maps, with a clean interface but relatively fixed functions; CarLife, developed by Baidu, can connect to both Android and iOS devices, is more popular in China, and comes with Baidu Maps and rich local services like music and parking queries. When I use CarPlay, Siri responds quickly, making driving safer; CarLife works better on Android devices, with precise navigation but occasional voice lag. If you frequently switch phones or drive in China, CarLife is more flexible; Apple users prefer the stability and global compatibility of CarPlay. Both connect similarly via USB or Bluetooth, but CarLife supports more third-party apps, offering stronger expandability.
