HEV and EV differ in vehicle type: HEV is a hybrid electric vehicle; EV is a pure electric vehicle. More relevant information is as follows: 1. HEV: It utilizes both the internal combustion engine of traditional vehicles and the electric motor (PMSM or asynchronous motor) of fully electric vehicles for hybrid driving (including battery and inverter components), reducing the demand for fossil fuels and improving fuel economy, thereby achieving energy conservation, emission reduction, and mitigating the greenhouse effect. 2. EV: EV's drive relies entirely on electric energy. Electricity is input from the grid into the vehicle's battery storage device, after which the electricity drives the motor to operate, thereby propelling the vehicle.

I think the difference between BYD's HEV and EV lies in the powertrain. HEV hybrids have a gasoline engine and an electric motor working together, like having a backup force ready to assist, such as in models like the BYD Song Plus. They can use fuel to charge the battery or refuel directly, making them particularly suitable for long trips where charging stations are scarce, reducing range anxiety. Pure EVs like the BYD Seal or Dolphin rely solely on electric power, offering silent operation and exhilarating acceleration once fully charged, but they depend on charging stations, requiring careful planning of time and location. I've driven a friend's EV, and it's truly eco-friendly with zero emissions, but it can be quite inconvenient without a home charging station, often meaning queuing at public chargers. Overall, the choice depends on where you live and your driving habits. For commuting in big cities, I lean more towards EVs, as they save on fuel costs and are environmentally friendly.

Is It Normal for a Newly Replaced Battery to Get Hot While Charging?

It is normal for a newly replaced battery to get hot while charging. Reasons why the battery heats up during charging: During charging, the battery's charging current is generally high, causing the electrolyte inside to heat up and boil, which results in some temperature rise—this is normal. Additionally, the battery itself has internal resistance, and the passage of current naturally generates heat. If the battery becomes excessively hot (to the point of being too hot to touch), it may be due to improper charging practices or a potential issue with the battery itself. This can lead to water loss in the battery, shortening its lifespan. Precautions during charging: A car battery getting hot during charging will not explode, but it can damage the battery. This may be caused by severe sulfation or overcharging, in which case charging should be stopped immediately, and the sulfation should be addressed promptly. Typically, charging takes about 8-10 hours. If using a low current, it may take around 12 hours to fully charge. However, it is important to note that you should not wait until the battery is completely drained before charging. It is recommended to charge when the remaining battery level is around 70%, as this usually takes only 6-8 hours to fully charge. Avoid overcharging.

How to distinguish intake and exhaust valve seals by color?

The shorter ones are intake, the longer ones are exhaust. The seals are marked with letters: IN for intake, EX for exhaust. If the edge casing position is flat, it's an intake valve seal; if the edge casing has a protruding rim, it's an exhaust valve seal. Gray indicates intake valves, black indicates exhaust valves.
