The differences between the BMW 320 and 325 engines are as follows: 1. Power gap: The 320 has 156 horsepower and 250N·m of torque, with a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 9 seconds; the 325 has 186 horsepower and 300N·m of torque, with a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 7.3 seconds. In terms of horsepower, the 325 is greater than the 320. 2. Other aspects: Price: The 325 is more expensive than the 320, as the 325 is an upgraded version of the 320. Displacement: The 320 has a 2.0L displacement, while the 325 has a 2.5L displacement, making the 325's displacement larger than the 320's. Cylinder count: The 320 is a 4-cylinder engine, while the 325 is a 6-cylinder engine. The 320 is derived from the improved version of the previous-generation E46 318i engine, while the 325 features the new magnesium-aluminum alloy engine from the E90 series.

I've always been quite interested in BMW engines and have driven many models, including the 320 and 325. The 320 uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with an output of around 184 horsepower, which is suitable for daily driving. It offers smooth acceleration and lower fuel consumption, making it particularly worry-free for city driving. As for the 325, although it also has a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, it's tuned higher, reaching 248 horsepower, which provides much stronger power. The noticeable push-back feeling during high-speed overtaking significantly enhances the driving pleasure. However, fuel consumption is higher, and insurance costs may also be slightly more expensive. In terms of maintenance, the engine hardware of both models is basically the same, with interchangeable parts, so repair costs are similar. If you're pursuing a sporty feel, the 325 is worth considering, but the 320 is more economical, especially suitable for commuters. Overall, the differences mainly lie in power and driving experience, so it's just a matter of personal preference.

As an average car owner, I've driven the BMW 320 and also test-driven the 325, and the difference in engines is quite noticeable. The 320 has 184 horsepower, offering smooth driving and lower fuel consumption, making it sufficient for daily commutes with easy starts and stops. The 325, with 248 horsepower, provides stronger acceleration but slightly higher fuel consumption, leading to more fuel expenses over time. In terms of insurance, the 325 might be more expensive. Maintenance costs are similar since the engines share a similar structure, with identical expenses for oil and filter changes. There's no difference in space and comfort, both being quiet. I think if you're on a budget, the 320 is more cost-effective, being fuel-efficient and reliable; the 325 suits those who enjoy faster-paced driving.
