What is the correct way to use the one-button start in Volkswagen Tiguan?

To use the one-button start, first press the start button once. After the ACC light comes on, press the start button again, at which point the one-button start button will turn green, and the vehicle will begin self-checking. Once the self-check is complete, press the brake and press the one-button start button once more to start the vehicle. The one-button start function has the following three features: 1. Identity recognition: This function is similar to fingerprint or facial recognition on a smartphone, making it nearly impossible to use without authorization. However, it is more advanced than a phone. If someone gains unauthorized access and the one-button start detects that the car key is not inside the vehicle while the car has been entered, an alarm will be triggered. 2. If the vehicle is in motion and requires an emergency stop and shutdown, the one-button start can be used. Simply hold the one-button start for 3-4 seconds or press it 3-4 times consecutively to immediately shut down the engine. At this point, the power will switch to ACC mode, and the engine will stop. 3. If the anti-theft mode is activated before exiting the vehicle, it can automatically detect the range of the car key. When the owner moves away, the vehicle will cut off the fuel supply, serving as an anti-theft measure.
After getting in the car, sit properly and fasten your seatbelt. Check if the gear is in P or N position. Press the brake pedal with your foot, then lightly tap the start button with one finger—no need to press hard. The dashboard will light up, and the engine will start. Then release the brake and press the accelerator to drive away. If you only want to power on without starting the engine, such as to listen to the radio, press the button without stepping on the brake. Turning off the car is also simple: after stopping the car, shift to P gear and press the start button to shut it down. Remember to carry the smart key with you—it can be sensed in your pocket or bag without needing to take it out. If the key is running low on battery, you can still start the car in an emergency by placing it close to the button. I usually keep the key separate to avoid signal interference with my phone.
