What is the correct way to use S gear?

Here, high-speed driving refers to when the vehicle speed reaches 90 kilometers per hour. At this point, there is absolutely no need to use S gear, as it will significantly increase fuel consumption. Engaging S gear during startup does not provide much help in speed improvement, because the vehicle needs to reach a certain speed for S gear to be effective.
I've been driving for almost thirty years and always find the S-gear quite practical in certain situations. It's the sport mode, and the correct way to use it is when you need quick acceleration, such as overtaking on the highway, climbing steep slopes, or enhancing power response during turns. The operation is simple—just press the button or shift to S-gear, and the vehicle will delay gear shifts, keeping the engine at higher RPMs for smoother acceleration. However, remember not to stay in S-gear for too long, as it can significantly increase fuel consumption and may accelerate component wear. I often switch back to the regular D-gear on flat roads to avoid unnecessary waste. Also, be cautious when using it in rainy or slippery conditions, as high RPMs can lead to skidding. Based on my experience, developing the habit of timely switching ensures both safety and efficiency.
