The correct way to check engine oil is: 1. Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface to improve the accuracy of oil level measurement. If parked on an uneven surface or slope, move the car to a level ground; 2. Turn off the engine and wait for about 5 to 10 minutes, allowing some oil remaining in the upper part of the engine to fully flow back into the oil pan; 3. Remove the dipstick and wipe it clean with a dry cloth, then reinsert the dipstick into the engine's dipstick tube. Wait a few seconds to allow the oil to fully adhere to the dipstick; 4. Remove the dipstick again and observe whether the highest oil mark on the dipstick is within the specified range.
