What is the correct procedure for starting and parking a Sagitar automatic transmission vehicle?

After reaching the parking position, press and hold the brake pedal until the vehicle comes to a complete stop, then shift the gear lever into N (Neutral) position. Do not release the foot brake at this time. If the vehicle is parked on a level and relatively smooth surface, do not engage the handbrake too tightly - generally pull it to about 70% of the total clicking sounds. If the vehicle is parked on an uneven road surface, after coming to a complete stop, press the foot brake again and quickly shift the gear lever through R (Reverse) position into P (Park) position.
Before starting, ensure the car is stationary with the gear in P, fasten the seatbelt, press the brake, and ignite. When shifting to D gear, don't release the brake too quickly—wait until the dashboard shows D gear before releasing the handbrake. Experienced drivers know it's crucial to check the rearview mirror and blind spots before moving off—safety always comes first. If starting on a slope, don't panic—just use the HAC hill-start assist function. The parking sequence is key: after stopping with the brake, engage the electronic handbrake first, then shift to P gear. This prevents strain on the transmission gears, especially important when parking on slopes—engaging P too early can overload the transmission, leading to costly repairs. Make it a habit to confirm all windows are closed before locking the car to prevent theft and rain damage.
