The oath for obtaining a motor vehicle driver's license is as follows: I am honored to join the ranks of motor vehicle drivers of the People's Republic of China. From this day forward, I will strictly abide by the 'Road Traffic Safety Law,' consciously maintain road traffic safety order, and resolutely adhere to the following: standard driving, compliance with laws and regulations; civilized driving, yielding to others; cherishing life, respecting pedestrians; harmonious society, jointly creating safety. Additional information: According to Article 55 of the 'Regulations on the Application and Use of Motor Vehicle Driver's Licenses,' after passing the examination, applicants must receive no less than half an hour of education on traffic safety, civilized driving knowledge, and case studies of traffic accidents, and participate in the license oath ceremony. The vehicle management office shall issue the motor vehicle driver's license on the same day the applicant participates in the license oath ceremony. For those applying to increase the permitted driving vehicle type, the original motor vehicle driver's license shall be revoked. For those who are demobilized, transferred, or retired, the military or armed police force motor vehicle driver's license shall be revoked.
