For small cars, the ETC is generally installed in the upper middle part of the front windshield, while for large vehicles such as trucks and buses, the installation position is in the lower middle part. The suitable installation position should be no lower than 1.2 meters and no higher than 2.5 meters, with an installation angle between 30 to 90 degrees. For vehicles with anti-explosion film or those that have been retrofitted with anti-explosion film, it may affect the signal transmission of the microwave communication link, so it should be installed in the microwave skylight zone. ETC stands for Electronic-Toll-Collection, meaning electronic toll collection system. To apply for ETC, you need to provide the original and photocopy of the vehicle owner's valid ID card and vehicle license. If the application is not made by the owner, the agent's valid ID card is also required. The photocopy of the vehicle license should include the page with the most recent annual inspection seal. Additionally, a bank card for deducting highway tolls is required, and the vehicle must be registered under the name of an individual aged between 18 and 60. Here are some precautions for installing ETC: Do not obstruct the view; it is best to install it behind the rearview mirror: Many car models have a large inclination angle of the windshield, which can reduce the driver's field of vision. If this is not considered during ETC installation, it can increase the driver's blind spot. Installing it behind the rearview mirror on the right side can avoid obstructing the view. Do not affect charging: The ETC electronic tag consumes power but generally does not require charging or battery replacement because it has a solar panel on the back that can charge itself. Therefore, during installation, avoid the black areas on the windshield and positions that may block the solar panel. Once installed, do not remove it arbitrarily: The button in the middle of the adhesive is an anti-removal lever, connected to a switch below. After the electronic tag is installed, the windshield will press the anti-removal lever in. If the tag is removed arbitrarily, the lever will pop out and trigger the switch, locking the electronic tag and rendering it unusable. You will then need to go to an ETC service point to unlock it. This is designed to prevent multiple vehicles from sharing one device. When using ETC, note the following: The ETC transaction sensing range is 8 meters. To prevent the ETC device of the vehicle in front from malfunctioning, maintain a distance of more than 10 meters from the vehicle in front to avoid automatic sensing and paying for the vehicle ahead. The ETC lane recognition speed is 20 kilometers per hour; driving too fast may result in failure to read the vehicle device information and cause payment failure. When using a debit card linked to ETC, insufficient balance may also lead to payment failure.

Actually, installing the ETC device behind the interior rearview mirror is the most hassle-free solution, which is exactly what I did with my own car. This position neither blocks the driver's view nor prevents the solar panel from getting sunlight for automatic charging, and it provides excellent sensitivity when passing through toll stations. Remember to clean the glass with an alcohol pad before attaching it for better adhesion. Never install it in the dotted black area or behind metallic film, as the signal will be blocked. The new devices now come with Bluetooth, making activation via smartphone extremely convenient—it can be done in just five minutes.

Where is the car antifreeze added?

Car antifreeze is added to the antifreeze reservoir, which is located in the engine compartment. Generally, antifreeze is added to the car's coolant reservoir. Antifreeze is usually colored (red or green) for easy identification. Antifreeze is the circulating cooling medium in the engine cooling system. Antifreeze has two characteristics: low freezing point and high boiling point. Therefore, it not only ensures the normal operation of the car's cooling system in winter but also prevents the coolant from boiling in summer, avoiding overheating. Additionally, antifreeze usually has anti-rust and anti-corrosion properties.

Do I need to submit the old license when renewing my driver's license on 12123?

When renewing your driver's license on 12123, you do not need to submit the old license as it is no longer useful. Here are the things to note after obtaining a new license: 1. Probationary period: The probationary period lasts for one year from the date of obtaining the license. During this period, there are many things to be aware of. Drivers on probation are not allowed to drive on highways unless accompanied by an experienced driver with at least 3 years of driving experience; for a C1 license, if 12 points are deducted during the probationary period, the probationary driving qualification will be immediately revoked. For B-class licenses and above, if 6-12 points are deducted during the probationary period (but not reaching 12 points), the probationary period will be extended by one year, and the driver must retake the subject 1 test within 30 days after the probationary period ends. 2. License renewal: After the one-year probationary period, you need to go to the local vehicle management office where the license was issued to renew it, but any violations must be handled first. After 6 years, you must go to the issuing vehicle management office to renew the license again. This requires a medical examination at a hospital, and then bringing the license, ID card, and three 1-inch color photos to the vehicle management office to fill out an application form. 3. Points cycle: The points cycle for a driver's license is one year from the date of issuance. If a C1 license does not accumulate 12 points within this year and all violations are handled and fines paid before the start of the next cycle, the points will be reset to 12 at the beginning of the next cycle.
