The working principle of an oscilloscope involves using a narrow electron beam composed of high-speed electrons to strike a screen coated with fluorescent material, producing a tiny light spot. Under the influence of the measured signal, the electron beam appears to draw a curve representing the instantaneous value changes of the signal on the screen. With an oscilloscope, users can observe various amplitude waveforms of the same signal changing over time, as well as measure various parameters such as voltage, current, frequency, phase difference, and amplitude modulation. A standard oscilloscope consists of five basic components: Display circuit, vertical (Y-axis) amplification circuit, horizontal (X-axis) amplification circuit, scanning and synchronization circuit, and power supply circuit—these form the functional principle of a general oscilloscope.
