What is the Automatic Warm-up Function for Motorcycles?
1 Answers
Motorcycle automatic warm-up function works by allowing the ECU to automatically control the engine speed after ignition, until the speed drops to the stable idle speed when the engine is warmed up. Purpose of automatic warm-up: To allow the engine oil to lubricate all components and bring the engine to its optimal operating temperature. Benefits of automatic warm-up: Motorcycle warm-up can reduce fuel consumption. The carburetor is adjusted to its relatively optimal state when the idle speed is at the lowest possible level during warm-up, without causing the engine to stall. The engine can respond quickly and smoothly to rapid acceleration or deceleration. However, during a cold start, the engine may stall due to low idle speed. If forced to ride without proper warm-up, the motorcycle may exhibit "poor throttle response" or "insufficient fuel supply." Therefore, the idle speed must be adjusted to the standard level.
