What is the Auto Start-Stop Function?

Auto start-stop function is a system that automatically shuts off the engine when the vehicle comes to a temporary stop (such as waiting at a red light) and restarts the engine when it's time to move forward again. It achieves this by equipping a traditional engine with an enhanced motor that has idle start-stop capability, allowing the engine to completely shut off when the conditions for idle stopping are met. The working principle of the start-stop system is as follows: when the vehicle stops due to traffic congestion or at an intersection, and the driver presses the brake pedal and shifts to neutral, the Start-Stop system automatically checks three conditions: the engine is idling and in neutral, the wheel speed sensors of the anti-lock system show zero rotation, and the electronic battery sensor indicates sufficient energy for the next start. Once these three conditions are satisfied, the engine automatically stops running.
