What is the ABS system?

ABS system is the Anti-lock Braking System. Its function is to automatically control the braking force of the brakes during vehicle braking, preventing the wheels from locking up and maintaining a state of rolling and sliding (with a slip ratio of around 20%), ensuring maximum adhesion between the wheels and the ground. The working principle of ABS is: when the wheels are braked, sensors installed on the wheels immediately detect whether the wheels are locked and transmit the signal to the computer. For locked wheels, the computer quickly reduces the braking force on that wheel, allowing it to continue rotating. After rotating to a certain extent, the computer applies braking again, ensuring that the wheels are braked without locking up. This process repeats continuously until the vehicle comes to a complete stop. The computer can perform hundreds of detections on the wheels per second and simultaneously operate the braking system dozens of times.
