Highway ETC (Electronic Toll Collection) is the electronic toll collection system, also known as the non-stop toll collection system, where one or more ETC lanes are set up on highways. ETC charging method: Through the dedicated short-range microwave communication between the vehicle-mounted RFID tag installed on the vehicle's windshield and the microwave antenna on the ETC lane at the toll station, the system uses internet technology to conduct background settlement processing with the bank, thereby achieving the purpose of vehicles passing through toll bridges without stopping to pay tolls. Banks install this type of ETC express card with a post-payment system. ETC application conditions are as follows: Provide the original and photocopy of the vehicle owner's valid ID card and vehicle license, and the photocopy of the driver's license must include the page with the most recent annual inspection seal; Postal credit card application form, which is used to bind the ETC card. After obtaining the credit card, swipe it twice and present the POS slip to the designated postal outlet to receive and install the ETC on-board device for free, with no charges during the process; Must be between 18 and 60 years old; Own a vehicle under personal name. Below are precautions for installing ETC: Do not obstruct the view; it is best to install it behind the rearview mirror: Many car models have a large inclination angle of the windshield, resulting in a smaller driver's field of vision. If this is not considered during ETC installation, it will increase the driver's blind spots. Install it on the right side behind the rearview mirror to avoid obstructing the view. Do not affect charging: The ETC electronic tag consumes power but generally does not require charging or battery replacement because it has a solar panel on the back that can charge itself. Therefore, during installation, avoid the black areas on the windshield and do not place it where the solar panel might be blocked. Once installed, do not remove it arbitrarily: The button in the middle of the adhesive is an anti-removal lever connected to a switch below. After the electronic tag is installed, the windshield will press the anti-removal lever in. If it is removed arbitrarily, the lever will pop out and trigger the switch, locking the electronic tag and rendering it unusable, requiring a visit to the ETC service point to unlock it. This is designed to prevent multiple vehicles from sharing one device. Precautions for using ETC: The ETC transaction sensing range is 8 meters. To prevent the ETC device of the vehicle in front from malfunctioning, maintain a distance of more than 10 meters from the vehicle in front to avoid automatic sensing and paying for the vehicle in front; the ETC lane recognition speed is 20 kilometers per hour. If the speed is too fast, the vehicle device information cannot be read, resulting in failed toll deduction; when using a debit card bound to ETC, insufficient balance will also cause toll deduction failure.

How to Remove the Fender Liner?

Steps to remove the fender liner: 1. Use a jack to support the chassis, then remove the tire. Ensure the jack is positioned at the designated support points on the chassis. 2. Remove the screws or clips securing the fender liner and take off the fender. 3. Clean any mud or debris beneath the fender, then reinstall the new fender in reverse order. The fender, also known as the wing panel, is the outer cover of the wheel, designed to ensure the maximum space for front wheel rotation and movement, as well as to reduce the drag coefficient. The fender liner plays a crucial role by effectively reducing road noise in the cabin, protecting the chassis and fender from mud and stones thrown by the tires, and minimizing the chassis's drag coefficient.

What causes the engine malfunction indicator light to come on?

The reasons why the engine malfunction indicator light comes on: 1. Sensor issues: When a sensor is damaged, has poor contact, or experiences signal interruption, the car's ECU cannot accurately obtain engine data, which will then trigger the engine malfunction light; 2. Intake problems: If the car's air filter is not clean and not regularly cleaned, it can affect the car's air intake. Over time, this can lead to blockage, and in severe cases, it will cause the engine malfunction light to come on; 3. Poor combustion of the air-fuel mixture: Poor combustion of the air-fuel mixture leads to engine carbon deposits or knocking issues, which are detected by the engine's oxygen sensor. After reporting to the ECU, the malfunction light will naturally come on as a warning.

What Causes Idle Stalling?

Reasons for idle stalling: 1. Damage to the engine idle control valve or its wiring; 2. Leakage in the vacuum pipe of the brake vacuum booster; 3. Damage to the diaphragm of the brake vacuum booster; 4. Air leakage in the intake manifold; 5. Issues with the idle control module in the engine electronic control unit. The idle performance of an engine significantly impacts emissions, fuel consumption, and comfort, making it an important indicator for evaluating engine performance. During idle, the engine is disconnected from the transmission system with the throttle pedal fully released, operating only against its own resistance without any external power output. The engine speed during idle is called the idle speed, which should not be too high or too low. Excessively high idle speed increases fuel consumption, while excessively low idle speed causes unstable engine operation.

Should an automatic transmission car start in P gear or N gear?

An automatic transmission car should start in P gear. Some car owners first shift from the original P gear position directly to N gear, then start the engine, and then shift to D gear before releasing the throttle to drive. The advantage of this method is that it avoids passing through R gear when shifting directly from P gear to D gear, reducing some impact force. However, some people believe that starting directly in P gear is safer, as starting in N gear may pose certain risks, especially the phenomenon of rolling. In fact, starting in P gear, even if there is some impact force when passing through R gear, the impact force is not very significant. Moreover, most car computer systems default to requiring the car to be in P gear to start, so it is recommended to start in P gear for greater safety.
