What is Geely's Auto Hold Function?

Geely's Auto Hold function is designed to prevent unnecessary vehicle rolling without the need for prolonged braking or activating the electronic parking brake. Features of Auto Hold: The Auto Hold function utilizes a slope sensor to provide precise parking force through the controller. During startup, the parking control unit calculates information from sensors such as clutch distance, clutch engagement speed, and throttle pedal position. When the driving force exceeds the running resistance, the parking brake is automatically released, ensuring a smooth start. This significantly reduces the time wasted on judgment based on experience. Advantages of Auto Hold: When encountering situations requiring brief stops during driving, the system automatically brakes the wheels to prevent rolling after the vehicle comes to a complete stop, eliminating the need to remember to pull the handbrake. During uphill starts, the system automatically applies the brake to prevent backward rolling and releases it when the forward traction is sufficient to move up the slope. When parking and locking the vehicle, there's no need to pull the handbrake as the system automatically brakes the wheels.
I've been driving for several years and have come to rely heavily on Geely's Auto Hold feature. When stopping at a red light or in traffic, I just press the brake pedal firmly after coming to a complete stop, and a green icon appears on the dashboard indicating the car is automatically braked. This allows me to completely relax my right foot - I can take a sip of water or reply to messages without worry. It's especially useful on slopes; I used to constantly worry about rolling back and hitting the car behind me, but now I don't have to think about it at all. A gentle tap on the accelerator releases it smoothly. The only thing to note is that you should turn it off before reversing, otherwise pressing the brake might repeatedly activate it. This feature has truly made my daily commute much more comfortable.
