What is Engine Calibration?
1 Answers
Engine calibration is the most important part of vehicle calibration, as almost all vehicle information originates from the engine. Engine calibration refers to the process of calibrating control parameters for all operating conditions of the engine during bench testing. Vehicle Calibration: Vehicle calibration refers to the process of optimizing software data to achieve satisfactory vehicle performance, meet customer requirements, and comply with national standards, after determining the engine, vehicle, control strategy, and peripheral components. Full Vehicle Calibration: Full vehicle calibration involves matching the engine with the vehicle after installation, primarily adjusting vehicle drivability, emissions, fuel consumption, power performance, and environmental adaptability. This includes emission calibration, drivability calibration, three-high (high temperature, extreme cold, high altitude) calibration, and subsystem control calibration. The main objectives are to ensure compliance with emission regulations and improve driving comfort and smoothness.
