BYD's warranty policy: During the warranty period, as long as the vehicle owner uses the car normally under specified conditions, any faults or component damages that occur will be repaired or replaced free of charge by the manufacturer. Generally, the warranty period for the engine and transmission is the same as the overall warranty period, while consumable parts such as batteries, air filters, cabin air filters, and timing belts have much shorter warranty periods. Additionally, the vehicle's usually specifies that wear-and-tear parts like wiper blades, brake pads, clutch plates, tires, headlights, and glass are not covered by the warranty. BYD's battery warranty policy consists of two parts: 1) The cell part: The cell enjoys a lifetime free warranty service. The cell, which consists of positive electrode sheets, negative electrode sheets, and separator paper rolled together, is the smallest unit of a battery pack and the core component of the battery. It cannot be used directly as an electrochemical cell. 2) Other parts: The second part includes components such as the casing, wiring, and circuit boards, excluding the cell. The warranty period for these parts is the same as that for the vehicle's second-tier core components, which is 8 years or 150,000 kilometers.

Hello everyone, I just bought a BYD electric vehicle and was really surprised by their warranty. The whole vehicle warranty is usually three years or 100,000 kilometers, whichever comes first, but the battery warranty is even more impressive—six to eight years, and even lifetime coverage for certain models. The core motor and electronic control system are also covered for extended periods. My manual clearly states that the warranty covers manufacturing issues, such as excessive battery degradation, which gets replaced for free, but it doesn’t cover accidents or normal wear and tear. After six months of use, my lights had an issue, and the dealership fixed it for free. I recommend owners maintain their cars well, follow scheduled services, and keep purchase receipts and records handy for claims—it saves money and gives peace of mind. This policy makes electric vehicles more reliable, reducing downtime risks, and is great for beginners to try out.

Does Driving Through Water Have a Significant Impact on a Car?

Driving through water does have an impact on a car, with specific effects as follows: 1. Headlights: If the sealing is not adequate, water can easily enter, forming mist inside the headlights and affecting the light's transmission. 2. Vehicle chassis: During water submersion, the chassis is washed by dirty water, and debris can accumulate in the gaps under the chassis or body. Not cleaning it promptly can create safety hazards. 3. Air filter: When a vehicle drives through water, water may enter the engine through the air intake. 4. Brake pads: After driving through water, it's essential to remove moisture from the brake pads, especially for vehicles with drum brakes, otherwise, the vehicle may lose braking ability, leading to severe danger or accidents. 5. Wiring harness connectors: Opening the engine hood reveals numerous wiring harnesses wrapped in insulating and heat-resistant materials, which are crucial components of the car's electrical system. When driving through water, lower-positioned wiring harness connectors can easily be soaked. If not addressed promptly, intermittent electrical failures may occur in the future, affecting the vehicle's normal operation.

Why does the car air conditioning not cool when the vehicle is not moving?

Here are the main reasons why the car air conditioning does not cool when the vehicle is not moving: 1. Whether the drive belt is broken or loose: If the drive belt is too loose, it will slip, accelerate wear, and fail to transmit power. 2. Internal component damage: Noise inside the compressor may be caused by damaged internal parts, and internal wear can prevent effective compression. 3. Whether the compressor clutch is slipping: A slipping compressor clutch can also cause issues. 4. Insufficient or excessive refrigerant: If a large number of bubbles are seen through the sight glass, it indicates insufficient refrigerant. If water is poured on the condenser to cool it and no bubbles are seen in the sight window, it indicates excessive refrigerant. 5. Refrigerant leakage: Check for oil stains at the connections and seams of each device. Oil stains at the connections or seams indicate refrigerant leakage, and the relevant parts should be tightened or replaced.
