BMW's M Sport Package is an officially produced modification and upgrade kit by BMW, which includes M-exclusive alloy wheels, M aerodynamic kit, M-exclusive steering wheel, etc. Currently, BMW 1 Series, 3 Series, 5 Series, 7 Series, and M Series all offer models with the M Sport Package option. Among the M Series models, there are the M3, M5, and M6. The M6 is equipped with a 286-horsepower six-cylinder engine with the model number M88. The engine type is a V10 with a 5.0-liter 40-valve dual overhead camshaft variable valve timing system, independent throttle bodies, high-performance electronics, and an oil system with centrifugal force control. The transmission type is a 7-speed SMG sequential manual gearbox, with a maximum power output of 373 kW and a maximum torque of 520 Nm.
I opted for the BMW M Sport Package and feel it mainly enhances the car's sporty feel and driving pleasure. Externally, it adds exclusive alloy wheels and a larger kidney grille, making it look really cool. Inside, there's an M-branded steering wheel and sport seats that offer great support, keeping you comfortable even on long drives. The suspension is tuned to be slightly firmer, with more precise steering and stable high-speed cornering, but it still prioritizes comfort for daily city driving. Compared to the standard version, it costs a bit more but is worth every penny. Maintenance is pretty much the same, though the tires might wear out a bit faster. This package isn't an M high-performance model but a tasteful upgrade that adds character to a regular BMW—friends all say it looks sharp.
