MAN Engine Materials: The MAN engine cylinder block material is the first domestic application of compacted graphite iron; this material offers higher strength and better hardness than traditional gray cast iron while maintaining density for stability. Both the cylinder block and connecting rods employ domestically pioneered fracture splitting technology, ensuring the engine maintains its shape even after over 1 million kilometers of operation. MAN Engine Oil and Water Pathways: The MAN engine's cylinder block and cylinder head feature independent cooling water channels and lubricating oil channels. The upper surface of the cylinder block and the cylinder gasket lack oil or water channel holes, as fluids flow horizontally rather than vertically.
I've been in the transportation industry for many years, and my first impression of MAN engines is that they are exceptionally rugged and durable. These diesel engines, made by the German company MAN, are mostly used in heavy-duty vehicles such as large trucks, buses, and construction machinery. If a friend is considering entering the transportation industry, I would recommend choosing a vehicle with a MAN engine.
