Bushing is an accessory used outside mechanical components to achieve functions such as sealing and wear protection, referring to a ring sleeve that serves as a lining. Functions of Bushings: Bushings offer high flexibility in use and can serve multiple purposes. They are components designed to protect equipment. The use of bushings can reduce equipment wear, vibration, and noise, while also providing anti-corrosion effects. Additionally, bushings facilitate the maintenance of mechanical equipment, simplify equipment structure, and manufacturing processes. Factors in Bushing Selection: Bushings have a wide range of applications and come in various types. Selecting the appropriate bushing requires considering different working conditions and choosing different models accordingly. The main factors to consider in bushing selection include the pressure the bushing needs to withstand, speed, the product of pressure and speed, and the nature of the load. Furthermore, whether the bushing is lubricated and the state of lubrication also determine its performance and lifespan.
In the automotive suspension system, bushings are one of my daily concerns.
