What is a Brake Pedal?
1 Answers
Brake pedal is the pedal that limits power, used for deceleration and stopping, operated by the driver's right foot. It is located at the bottom of the driver's compartment, to the left of the accelerator pedal. The brake pedal is a high-frequency automotive control component, and how the driver controls it directly affects driving safety. Generally, during slow braking and emergency braking, before the wheels lock up and the vehicle comes to a stop, the clutch pedal should be fully depressed to prevent the engine from stalling and to facilitate speed adjustment. The working principle of the brake pedal involves fixing a wheel or disc on the machine's high-speed shaft and installing corresponding brake shoes, bands, or discs on the machine base to generate braking torque under external force.
