What Happens If There's Too Much Engine Oil in the Car?

Excessive engine oil can easily enter the combustion chamber (due to excessive internal pressure) and form gummy carbon deposits. While the initial impact may not be noticeable, over time, the buildup of carbon deposits will inevitably worsen. This can not only clog the catalytic converter's pores, leading to excessive exhaust emissions, but in severe cases, it may also cause oil burning. The excess oil reduces the gas volume in the crankshaft case, increasing pressure, which can easily compromise the engine's sealing (resulting in oil leaks). In summary, the effects of overfilling engine oil are not something car owners should lightly overlook.
