What happens if the tire pressure is too high?

Tire pressure that is too high can affect vehicle performance, tire lifespan, and even compromise driving safety. Excessive tire pressure increases tire rigidity, reduces deformation and contact area with the ground, which can accelerate wear on the central tread and shorten tire lifespan. Moreover, overly high pressure makes tires excessively hard, negatively impacting ride comfort. When tire pressure is too high, deflation is necessary. If you have a dial-type tire pressure gauge, you can unscrew the tire valve cap, locate the valve core, press it gently, and simultaneously press the deflation valve while monitoring the gauge until the pressure returns to normal levels.
