Touareg uses the 4Motion four-wheel drive system. The four-wheel drive systems on Volkswagen SUV models are mainly divided into two types, namely 4Motion and 4xMotion. The 4Motion four-wheel drive system is used in the current Volkswagen Tiguan and Touareg. The 4xMotion four-wheel drive system was the standard four-wheel drive system for the first-generation Touareg four-wheel drive models, belonging to the older version of the four-wheel drive system.
