What faults occur when the timing chain malfunctions?

When the timing chain malfunctions, the following faults may occur: 1. Engine abnormal noise: Especially during high-speed driving, it becomes more noticeable when stepping on the accelerator, producing a "click-click-click" metal friction sound. 2. Weakened engine power: Generally, when the timing chain fails, it may be due to the engine's timing chain stretching, causing slippage, insufficient power, and weak acceleration. 3. Poor fuel injection: Shaking and easy stalling. After the timing chain wears out, prolonged poor operation will lead to uneven fuel injection, delays, and easy stalling. 4. Engine dashboard warning light illuminates: The engine fault light is directly related to delays in the intake and exhaust camshaft solenoid valves. If there are faults related to camshaft position delays or camshaft position solenoid valve delays, the camshaft position solenoid valve should be replaced first. 5. Increased fuel consumption: When the timing chain stretches, jams, or wears out, it will lead to higher fuel consumption.
